Dymatize Elite XT

On March 14, 2011, in Low Carb Protein Powders, by admin

Dymatize Elite XT Extended Release protein takes time release protein to another level. Elite XT contains even more proteins than Dymatize’s other time released protein, Elite Fusion 7.

What makes this product even more potent is a coating process that forces proteins to be released at a specific pH range, which can limit damage to amino acids. Dymatize says that this process can cause protein to take over two times longer to digest, making Elite XT the ulitmate in time release proteins.

Some users are not crazy about the taste of Elite XT. Some think that the coating has affected the taste. Other users say that a different taste or graininess didn’t bother them…they liked it.

Taking Elite XT

Dymatize recommends about 10 ounces of liquid per scoop of powder. The milk proteins will cause Elite XT to mix a little thicker than your normal whey protein. For this reason some users like to use more liquid to think the product out a bit. Since it is a time released protein, Elite XT would be a great protein to take at bedtime. Many users will use it specifically for that purpose. Otherwise this protein can be taken at any time.

Dymatize Elite Whey Protein Isolate is a great protein that can be used by anyone, regardless of their goals. It is especially good considering the price. Generally, whey isolate can be one of the more expensive types of protein, but Elite has manufactured a very economical isolate protein.

The taste is very good. Whey isolate generally mixes thin and is easy to drink. Elite Whey Isolate is no different. Another benefit is that a serving only contains about 1 gram of sugar. No blender is needed.

This is one of my favorite proteins. You can’t go wrong with this product, especially if you combine the type of protein that it is, with the taste and cost.

When is the best time to take Elite Whey Isolate?
Isolates digest quickly, so after training sessions or protein pulses would be good times to take it. Isolates won’t do as good a job with appetite suppression as slower digesting proteins like casein. Otherwise, this product can be taken at anytime.

Dymatize Elite Fusion 7

On March 14, 2011, in Low Carb Protein Powders, by admin

Dymatize Elite Fusion 7 is a time-released protein that contains 7 different sources of protein. This protein is similar to BSN’s Syntha 6 protein. Elite Fusion 7 also contains 6 grams of fat per serving. This not only makes the protein taste even better, it can also allow for the proteins to be released at a slower rate.

Elite Fusion contains 23 grams of protein per serving along with 1 gram of sugar and 5 grams of fiber….which can also slow down the digestion of the various proteins. The taste is good. The chocolate flavor doesn’t really taste like true chocolate….more of a chocolate, graham cracker kind of taste, but it is still good.

This protein can also be used as a meal replacement. It does contain a vitamin and mineral blend to make it more than just a protein powder. Just remember that due to the fat content Elite Fusion will be higher in calories than your typical protein powder.

What types of Protein are in Elite Fusion 7?
Whey Protein Concentrate
Whey Protein Isolate
Complete Milk Protein
Calcium Sodium Caseinate
Micellar Casein
Milk Protein Isolate
Egg Albumin
and a BCAA Blend

Taking Elite Fusion 7
You don’t need a blender for this product. Mix 1 scoop per 5 ounces of liquid. Take as many servings per day as you need to reach your protein intake goals. It can be taken at any time of the day.
